Our broadband source product line is the B-Series which include high power density, broadband to ultra broadband sources to cater for various optical testing and system applications. Covering C-band & L-band, these sources have excellent spectral and output power stability besides delivering a high total output power.
The target applications for these sources include passive or active component testing such as couplers, thin film devices, fiber Bragg gratings, optical switches, sensors or sub-system testing such as Raman amplifier measurement and characterization. The B-series can also be used as a transmitter in sensing systems which are used widely in the building industry to detect cracks in concrete bridges, in aviation industry to detect hair-line cracks on aircraft wings, in petro-chemical industry to monitor pipe lines & flow rate, in security industry as a parameter monitoring & detection system and in many other industries.
The B-series can be easily integrated with an OSA or a wavelength meter to produce the best measurement accuracy over a broad bandwidth with a single sweep. Additional features of these sources are the variable dynamic range that it offers according to the user's needs.
